Banco Macro announces an important investment plan in Misiones

Misiones, May 29th, 2013. Banco Macro will be carrying out a plan involving an investment of over AR$106 million (one hundred and six million Argentine pesos) in the province of Misiones in the course of 2013. The announcement was made by Jorge H. Brito, president of Banco Macro, in the presence of Maurice Closs, governor of the province of Misiones.

The investment plan entails the remodeling and change of location of branches as well as the setting up of new ATMs and replacement of existing ones.

This year, and in accordance with the expansion plan Banco Macro has been implementing, the entity will be running a program aimed at branch remodeling, removal and improvement, which in turn involves equipping branches with higher technology and offering greater comfort for customers. Banco Macro has 40 service centers in the province.

On the other hand, the number of ATMs in the province will be substantially increased, with 56 new ATMS and a total of 181 by the end of 2013. At this stage Banco Macro will be setting up new ATMs in 13 districts where no other bank provides services.

By setting up these new ATMs, Banco Macro will be present in 61 districts, which means it will have expanded its presence so as to cover 81% of the territory of the province and become the only bank providing services to the community in 42 towns.

"For us Misiones is a province with the potential for growth, with activities ranging from tourism to the agroindustry. Just like we have done in the rest of the country, we are going to continue investing in Misiones so as to make our services available to everyone living in the province," said Jorge H. Brito, president of Banco Macro. "All the work to be carried out in the course of the year is aimed at substantially improving the service offered to the community," he added.
